As a sequel to COAL, Wasteland tells the story of the rave culture that developed in the 90s, after the coal mines closed down. Wasteland uses 4 local male singers, and 2 local brass players, that change at each venue, alongside its professional cast of dancers.

To mark 50 years since the start of the decriminalisation of homosexuality, Gary Clarke choreographed a large, outdoor dance performance, ‘Into The Light’, in collaboration with Yorkshire Dance, and Duckie for Hull City of Culture 2017. I worked as costume supervisor and assistant designer to realise the costumes for the large cast.
